Take the whole class on an exclusive group guided tour. These experiences can be easily tailored to any age group and curriculum requirements. Imagine a history lesson on wheels with a visit to Queensland’s first coastal lighthouse. Or create an environmental based tour by exploring the many diverse ecosystems surrounding the Town of 1770, in the Southern Great Barrier Reef region of Queensland.
With direct access and a bus like capacity, our robust LARCs are the perfect transport to the National Park camping areas. LARCs can be used for camp transfers to Eurimbula or Middle Creek Campground, supply delivery, and day excursions direct from camp. We can help with recommendations for an array of activities and accommodation options in the surrounding area.
Reward the class by pushing them down the towering sand dunes of Middle Island on a 5 hour sandboarding. Our famous sand hill can cater to any level of sandboarder from beginner to expert. Or if you’re short on time maybe a 1 or 2 hour informative joyride would be ideal for your schedule.
“Thank you for the opportunity to experience a day on the LARC! Margot and I enjoyed the day and especially the hospitality extended to us by Col and yourself. As Principal of a school in Bundaberg I would recommend its potential as an educational excursion for high school students. I will pass on its highlights to our SOSE, Marine Studies and Science teachers as an excursion to consider. Thank you again for a very memorable day.”
Pat Wall – Principal, Shalom College, Bundaberg
“A big thank you to 1770 LARC! Tours for taking the Discovery Christian College primary school students out on the Goolimbil Walkabout. We all had a thoroughly interesting day, packed with lots of information and fun things to do. By doing the walkabout and being out in nature the kids had the opportunity to learn through seeing, doing and experiencing so much. The guides’ knowledge of the native flora and fauna as well as the indigenous history was exceptional”.
Mel Clifton – Primary teacher, Discovery Christian College, Agnes Water
